Just asking (28): why couldn’t he?

This series “Just Asking” was started to probe ideas I wasn’t completely sure of, and would like them to be pondered in readers’ minds.
That’s the only civil way to get at truth.
On 10th of September 2025, a 31 year old husband and father of two young children was assassinated while doing exactly that: just asking questions.
In a mass meeting titled, “Prove Me Wrong”.
Of all places, a college campus of young people.
Of all states, a Mormon state of Utah in America.
This 31 year old was a young man of Christian faith, not a politician, not a candidate, not a billionaire, at best an idea-debater.
Someone in the lineage of Socrates and Plato: just asking questions.
Sure, he was a republican, supporter and friend of Donald Trump.
Sure, he was a straight Christian and small government conservative.
But that shouldn’t earn him the death sentence.
Sure he debated Transgender issues, but also small government, democracy, and atheism.
Not deserving a sniper shot.
Just opening minds by debates and asking questions. Always polite, probing, and people loving.
Charlie Kirk was gunned down.
He can’t ask questions now.
Why couldn’t he be allowed to?
Just asking.
